A Girl’s World of Art

I visited an orphanage art home, where girls learn to spend their time productively through the power of art! In the pictures, gorgeous pictures line the walls waiting to be sold. These girls stay here and are given an education in art, whether it’s musical, theatrical, or visual! I came up to one of the girls and gave her a set of colored pencils and a notebook to express her creativity in the notebook and she can keep it to continue her story! Older girls created the oil paintings in the background and walls and try to sell them. Although they don’t get any sells, they love to create such brilliant and vibrant pieces of art that portray the beautiful Vietnam.

  1. Hi Catherine, I love how you are encouraging these orphans to express themselves through art and advocating for the Orphanage. I’m happy that there are places like this, that promote art and this kind of constructive self expression. It seems like a wonderful place! -On behalf of Yoon & Ryan

  2. Hi Catherine! What an amazing school for girls. I want to learn more about it when you come back to school! Your photos of the orchids are beautiful!
